Round Britain in aid of the RNLI
Dolphin Care Uk is proud to be associated with the Round Britain challenge.

Dolphin Care UK is proud to announce our our help pledged to Paul and his Round Britain Challenge.
Paul Churchley will be sailing his little boat around Britain raising funds for the RNLI, a total of more than 1600 miles.
In July 2008 Paul Churchley (pictured right) will be taking his Jeanneau Merry Fisher 625 Round Britain on behalf of the RNLI "Train one, save many" campaign. He will set out from Plymouth and go clockwise around the coast of Britain.
"This will be very challenging" said Paul. "My boat is only 20ft and to make it even more of a challenge I am doing the whole trip solo".

UNIQUE OPORTUNITY TO HELP The RNLI RECEIVE MUCH NEEDED FUNDS.
"The RNLI is funded solely from donations and the lifeboats are manned by volunteers. Many people spend time at sea and never think they will ever need the RNLI to help them if they get into trouble, however it is a huge comfort to know that they are there should the worst ever happen.
Paul said "I wanted to make my trip something much more than just a challenge and I can not think of a better cause than the RNLI.
Paul will be collecting on his way round, so if you see him please say hello and of course put something in his bucket."

"Although the boat (pictured right) has a small cooker, a bed and a toilet onboard and is quite capable to do the journey, it is a lot smaller than most boats that make a journey like this and it won't be luxury by any account! It has a 115hp outboard engine that is petrol powered so Paul will need to refuel with petrol about every 100 miles or less and as almost all ports in the UK only have diesel he will need to source petrol from local garages.
"The current plan requires Paul to stop about 26 times for fuel but at a number of these stops, probably about 16, he will have 2 full days in port. On the first day he will be fundraising, hopefully with the assistance of the local RNLI fundraising volunteer team. On the second day in port he will be planning the next leg, ensuring the boat is prepared with fuel, any small repairs done and a bit of rest for him. Paul will be away from home at least 2 months and so he must have some rest and relaxation on the trip."
Dolphin Care UK will be helping Paul as much as we can, we are sourcing petrol supplies for him once he docks at Hull Marina.
We are also contacting all our local RNLI stations down the Yorkshire coast, for them to offer Paul their support once he enters their area.
We contacted the Humber Life Boat station at Spurn Point and David Steenvoorden the coxain has offered their help and support providing they are not out on a shout.
Can we rely on your support - No matter where you are in the UK?
If you would like to donate much needed funds, then please send Crossed Cheque or Postal orders in the name of RNLI to Dolphin Care UK, we will be more than happy to hand these over to Paul when he reaches HULL.
You can also donate via the Round Britain web site.
If there are any other ways you would like to help Paul then please contact him, or email Dolphin Care UK.
