In terms of diversity, 28 species have been recorded this century in British and Irish territorial waters. Common Dolphin, Striped Dolphin, are among those species where numbers sighted have increased since 1998. Porpoises, on the other hand, showed widespread decline in the 1970's-1980's-1990's; White-beaked Dolphins also became scarcer in Northern Britain in the 1990's; Your sightings are important.
